This is a week of exploring the best mountain roads Northern Thailand has to offer. High altitude twisties through jungles with beautiful national parks and waterfalls at every stop in “the land of smiles”. Basic itinerary at the bottom of the page.
At “the roads less taken” we pride ourselves on giving you the real deal! An experience to remember! We ride through the villages occasionally on broken and dirt roads, we stay at hospitable local homestays or entire villas when available in the mountains (not fancy 5 star hotels), we eat local food and party with the locals! I want every person to experience the culture of each part of the thai lifestyle and learn about the place as well as seeing the stunning beauty on the journey. Please note, this is a very leisurely and relaxing cruise through the mountains with a focus on stunning vistas, be sure to soak up the views as we cruise around and relax. We will have the opportunity to sleep in sometimes and enjoy good breakfasts as well as looking around each of the towns for some leisure time alone. You should not feel rushed on this adventure!
This is an all inclusive and fully guided tour with a selection of great bikes. All you need to do is get to Bangkok by 4th November to meet at the first hotel, and the rest is taken care of for you! We will travel as a small group, a local guide and Glen will be leading for the entire journey with a maximum of 8 riders. Early bird pricing ends August 1. Starting at $2500 AUD per rider so get in quick and save up-to $300!

*Must have prior to arrival:
- valid license for the vehicle selected
- international driving permit
- international travel insurance which personally covers you riding a motorcycle in the event of an accident.
*If you fail to provide copies of these prior to departure of this trip, you may forfeit the 50% deposit of the trip to cover costs. You are fully responsible for this part of the journey as well as riding to conditions and within your own abilities.
BASIC ITINERARY
Nov 4 – meet in Bangkok at the hotel (5pm).
Nov 5 – catch the morning train to Chiang Mai
Nov 6-11- riding around Mae Hong Son loop
Nov 12 – return flight to Bangkok (2pm), end of tour.
